What if your next candle smelled like a memory?

A beautiful candle catches my eye. A beautiful scent can take me somewhere.

GAVIR coconut shell candle with cream-coloured wax and two wooden wicks

We spend so much time choosing candles that look right on our shelves. The colour, the jar, the perfect photograph. I love those details too. But for me, fragrance is where the connection happens.

A scent can bring back a person, a place or a moment I hadn’t thought about in years. Suddenly, I’m remembering how something felt.

That’s why I want a candle’s fragrance to have character. It doesn’t have to be the strongest scent in the room. It needs to make me pause. Something comforting, unexpected or quietly familiar.

When I think about what I want GAVIR to bring into someone’s home, I think about that feeling: the little moment after lighting a candle, when a room starts to feel like somewhere you want to stay.

The jar might be what makes you pick it up. The fragrance might be what makes it yours.

What scent takes you back to a favourite memory?

— Virginia, GAVIR
